Ruth's Bar-B-Q Sauce
is not only good, it has a rich history from it's homemade beginning. Needmore
Farm was a real honest-to-goodness place in the 40's and 50's, located in the heart of
the deep south -- Pembroke, Georgia.
It was the home of a southern gentleman who believed in doing things
B-I-G. His birthday party in mid-July was an annual barbecue dinner. Everyone
was invited, he put the invitation in his local newspaper. Folks were invited
for Sunday dinner, they came by the number. The dinner was a barbecue feast,
with all of the trimmings: potato salad, sliced tomatoes, etc., and to top it
all off the best barbecue sauce around.
Ruth is the daughter of the birthday honoree and helped stir and cook
that sauce. For that old fashioned, homemade taste, it's gotta' be Ruth's
Bar-B-Q Sauce. It will add the finishing touch that will set
off your barbecue with a taste that folks will remember.
At the end of the day we gather on the front porch for a rest.
